IT’S A PARTY!!!
AN EMPTY BOWL PAINTING PARTY….And You’re invited!
ABOUT: Empty Bowls Project is a grassroots effort to raise money and awareness in an effort to end hunger and food insecurity. From its humble beginnings as a meal for the staff of one high school, Empty Bowls has spread across the United States and beyond and has raised tens of millions of dollars for anti-hunger organizations. This will be the 1st Annual Empty Bowls Project the House of Blessing will be holding to raise money and awareness for the House of Blessing Food Bank.
WHERE: Any location you would like that has enough space to paint. For example your home, community centre, church, board room etc. or bring the group to Clay Café to paint in their inspiring studio!
WHY: Leave your creative touch on bowls for our up coming fundraiser at the House of Blessing – Empty Bowls Project. We need over 200 bowls painted and ready to go for April. People can purchase tickets to our fundraiser which will be on Saturday April 10th at the Army Navy Hall between 11:30am – 2:30pm. Tickets include a wonderful meal created by local chefs and a choice of a beautifully painted bowl (painted by wonderful people such as yourself!) to take with them to serve as a reminder of hunger in our community and the efforts made to make a difference.
WHEN: Any time between now and the end of February.
HOW: You do not require ANY supplies. Clay Café will be available with all of the supplies you need! Clay Café can also put together a “Paint to Go” package for you to paint off site at a location of your choice! You don not have to be a “crafty” person! Just get together with a group or a few friends and make it a fun way to spend a cold winter night!
