There were recent changes to the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act that apply to all provincially regulated workplaces.Effective June 15, 2010, Bill 168 is an amendment to the Act, and addresses Workplace Violence and Harassment by strengthening protections for workers from workplace violence, and addresses workplace harassment.The Act requires an employer to prepare policies with respect to workplace violence and harassment and to develop a program to implement the workplace violence and harassment policy.In response, Bonza Training Solutions is offering a series of seminars to help companies understand the new requirements under the Act. These seminars will outline:
. definitions of workplace violence & harassment . employer and supervisor responsibility . assessment of workplace risks . elements of a prevention policy and program . due diligence for workplace violence and harassment
